Paul Clouvel<\/h3>\n

Paul Clouvel is a music composer, electroacoustic music performer, concert organizer<\/strong> and music management consultant. His areas of expertise are mixed instrumental music, application music for installations, for video or for live performances. The major part of his production consists of electroacoustic pieces and mixed pieces for instruments and electroacoustics.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul has also developed an intensive practice as an interpreter and performer in electroacoustic music, and frequently plays the works of other composers in spatialized concerts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Clouvel began music at a very young age, then turned to electroacoustic composition as a teenager.\u00a0<\/span>He attended Roger Cochini’s composition classes at the Bourges Conservatory of Music in France, from which he graduated three times (sound arts, composition, studio electroacoustic composition). <\/span>He also studied orchestral conducting at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, harmony at CIMP Paris, musicology at Paris IV-Sorbonne university, electroacoustic composition at the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique in Lyon France (CNSMD), computer music at the IRCAM summer academy in Paris, as well as Music technology production at Berklee College of Music Boston USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Clouvel is very active in the sharing of music. He<\/span> is the founder and artistic director of the Elektramusic<\/strong> (record label, <\/strong>concert season and management agency in contemporary music)<\/span>, sponsored by Meredith Monk (whom he hosted in concert in Strasbourg in May 2013). Clouvel also created Musiques \u00c9clat\u00e9es<\/strong> (classic, contemporary and jazz mini-festival). Paul also runs Mixed Music for Mixed People<\/strong>, a serie of experimental concert series, and also Elektramusic on YouTube<\/strong><\/a>, a channel dedicated to concerts, interviews and sharing of experimental music.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Clouvel is very involved in the management of music. He received a bachelor of arts in cultural management and business at University of Haute-Alsace (France), and certified in music business at Berklee College of Music Boston USA . He wrote a guide about what to know about the contemporary music business<\/em>, published in French by the French ministry of culture<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

His first mixed work for piano and electronics received a prize at the Russolo International Composition Competition<\/a> in Italy. He also won a SACEM (French author’s rights society) prize for laureates in composition, as well as 3 creation grants. he also received a grant from PRS Performing Rights Society in Great-Britain. Paul Clouvel <\/span>was granted and composer in residence for the City of Geneva (Switzerland) and at the EOFA (Embassy for foreign artists Geneva<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Clouvel’s works<\/strong> have been performed at numerous festivals in Germany, Swiss, France and abroad, at concerts in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Havana (Cuba), New York (USA), as well as on national radio stations in Netherlands (Radio 4), Canada, Hungary, and France (France Musique). <\/span><\/p>\n

He has produced musical installations for exhibitions (Ch\u00e2teau de Tours, Artboretum Place of Contemporary Art Argenton). Paul Clouvel was selected for the projects of VoxNovus in New York.
